After a first day packed with fascinating discussions and opportunities for networking, delegates from around the world reconvened in anticipation of another day of presentations from some of the industry's biggest names. Session 5: Deep Dive Luxury
The second day of the Interior Motives China conference began with a session on 'Deep dive luxury', chaired by Emma Booty of Conran. Shu Bei of 3M kicked off the first session by identifying the Chinese obsession with brands.
The Kia Naimo EV gets revealed in Seoul
This week sees the start of the Seoul Motor Show. Which may not be at the top of our list of must-see shows, but with Kia and Hyundai taking over the world we do need to at least sit up and take notice. Today is press day at Seoul and Kia has rocked up with a funky electric CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) – the Kia Naimo – powered by a pair of 27kWh lithium-ion polymer batteries in the boot which power an electric motor that’s good for 108bhp and 207lb/ft of torque.
Brazil Grand Prix 2010 - the penultimate race of the season
No question, Interlagos 2010 was a Red Bull success story. Yes, they’ve made things more difficult for themselves by not having team orders, but a one-two from Vettel and Webber – with Vettel ahead – ties up the constructors world championship in Red Bull’s favour, but leaves the drivers’ championship open. If Red Bull had taken a leaf out of the Ferrari book of driver management – or frankly any other experienced team at this stage of the championship – they would have had Vettel give way to Webber and left themselves at the top of the drivers championship just a point behind third place Alonso going in to the last race.
